Who we are
Jan & [Name] — Singapore meets Medan
Jan handles the tech, the bookings and the backend. Based in Singapore, he spent years building software before realising the best product he could build was in the jungles of North Sumatra.
[Name] is from Medan — a Medanese-Chinese local with family connections across the city, the highlands and the Bukit Lawang guide community. She handles content, marketing, and all the things that make the difference between a tour that feels generic and one that feels personal.

The destination
Why North Sumatra?
North Sumatra is one of the few places left where a two-hour drive separates you from one of the world's great food cities, the jungle habitat of wild orangutans, a highland volcano, and a lake so vast it has its own island — inhabited by a culture entirely unlike anything else in Indonesia.
It's consistently overlooked in favour of Bali and Lombok. That's exactly why we love it. The crowds haven't arrived. The experiences are unscripted. The guides are people who grew up here, not people performing a version of here.
Medan is just 1.5 hours from Changi Airport — a long weekend from Singapore, a week from Europe. There's no good reason it's not on more people's radar. We're working on that.
